Lots of birthdays lately!!!! Little Tyler has been on earth for a whole year! Most babies don’t want anything to do with the cake. We actually have to make them touch it, but NOT TYLER! He was digging in…literally!!! He absolutely loved it and it was the cutest thing ever…..aside from his little tongue smile! Nate is about to turn four and is my son Easton’s BFF. Nate LOVES apple juice and fast cars, Transformers, and is super adorable.

Mandy cooks a mean lemon chicken (heard it through the grapevine), loves dark chocolate, and is one of the sweetest and  hardest working mommas I know.

I have known Melissa and Brent for a long time and I was overjoyed that they asked me to travel to California to document their beautiful wedding day. They got married on Imperial Beach right near the ocean and the reception was on the rooftop of Pier South Resort.  It was perfect and I did not want to leave the beach! The sky was magical and the weather was a dream. There was an abundance of incredibly adorable children and so many familiar faces. It melted my heart when I heard Melissa and Brent’s daughter Taylor say “Mommy, now your last name is Bonnett like mine!”

Thank you to my amazingly incredible friend Torey from Torey Photo for holding my hand on the plane when I almost had a nervous breakdown because of the bumpy ride, listening to me talk your ear off for hours on end, spending 6 hours at a pizza restaurant eating and dancing the night away, and being the greatest wing woman during the wedding. I don’t normally use a tons of props at shoots, but when I do, it’s epic! I met Addison a year ago when I did her newborn photos. Now she is a beautiful one year old with a smile that lights up the universe! We have lots in common…She shares a love for bees, playing the piano (nude of course), and she’s ready for fall just like me!!!

I haven’t done a personal project since I was in college. With Halloween coming up, I decided to do a shoot I have been wanting to do for a while! This shoot signifies facing your fears. The fears we don’t face become our limits. I feel like you can never really feel alive with the burden of fear lingering in our bones. I thank the universe daily for scaring the fear out of me.

Rick and Soraya recently got married, but didn’t do any photos so we planned a day trip to Tombstone to do some portraits! I cannot express how much I enjoyed hanging out with these love birds all afternoon. The weather was beautiful, the locals were so friendly, and these two made my job so easy! It’s so refreshing to have such amazing couples who are overflowing with love! They danced, Rick did some roping, drank some margaritas, played with guns and pianos, and ended the evening with the guitar! The Haase family is getting another baby boy at the beginning of the year! The last time I saw baby Mason was for his newborn shoot. I can’t believe how much he has grown and I just LOVE the way his face lights up when he sees his mom and dad! Such a sweet little man. I can’t wait to meet his little brother!
